ordinary Christianity for the world
A Christian pastor, changed by the love of Christ, wrestles with the world.
Here you will find a series of essays that are intended to be helpful to churches now and in the future. Many church members today will wonder what my problem is. The main problem is that too many church members today don’t see the problem. They are content with the church as it is.
They likely think that the church has always been like it is today, and faithfulness means keeping it the way it is. But this is not true. The church is quite different than it used to be. Many fundamentally leaning Christians believe that we need to return to the way the Early Church was, which is amazing when you read Paul’s letters. Paul was always chastising the church for its faithlessness and problems. History doesn’t flow backward. God’s intentions for His church have always been future directed. God is working on the future, and to this effort these essays are directed.
